Peles Castle

Peles Castle (1883) is the former royal palace. It is in Sinaia in the Prahova Valley, Transylvania. It is about 1 1/2 hour drive from Bucharest. Sinaia developed into a major resort after King Carol I decided to build this summer residence in 1870.
